THE MOTHER'S PLIGHT

Who can determine a woman’s destiny in labour?

Oh  that precious, soft and loving creature is enveloped in a capsule of reality of womanhood; On that day, the sweetest good becomes poison to her. The woman is in pains, every part in her is aching, her pulse is weak, her body trembling, though she tries to hide her pains, but for how long? When it keeps increasing in intensity and frequency, type indescribable, Nobody to help, Nowhere to run to for solution; Even God seems to be distance from her until the allotted time when she has completed phases 1,2 & 3

Honey! Sweetie! Nkem ! imalma! Ifemi! Ha! None can solve the problem, what a day!

The problems are multiplied, complex and worst if a mistake of falling into the wrong hands of a hardened midwife is made, All alone, naked, screaming and scourging in pains, No sedative can bring sleep, No pain relief can reduce the severity, no doctor can do the magic, when everything has denied her healing.

ALAS, A little ‘PUSH’With Jesus des the Magic, Praise GOD! The woman is free again as if there is a spillage of ice water from head to toe, calmness everywhere, but to enter into the second phase of nurturing and breastfeeding. What are we talking about, Chiildbirth is a mystery, nobody can predict the outcome, only but God.

O! Woman trembling with fear, surprise and disbelieve saying in her heart am I the owner of this bouncing baby or not, and gradually as she keeps staring at the wonderful work of God, a small human being, she will be hearing Congratulations, We thank God.

But wait, supposing she could not make it? We will say God forbid, but many have gone through this way. So what are we saying, Every Child & Husband, You have cause to celebrate the mother in the house today. Give her everything you can lay your hands on. Appreciate God on her behalf
