APRIL FOOLS DAY

 Wow! It’s April and what first comes to your mind is APRIL FOOL and I will like to say that April fool should be a Celebration of Fools (FOOLS’ HOLIDAY)

April Fools’ Day in Nigeria is the first of April and officially Ends 12 Noon. April fool is done simply by telling Practical Jokes (Convincing Lies) and watching someone (THE FOOL or APRIL FISH) believe it -Hook, Line and Sinker.

The Lies varies from mere jokes to expensive Jokes involving money, death of close friends, death of celebrities etc. On April Fools’ Day, every truth is assumed to be false or an attempt to fool somebody. Anybody who falls for the prank or joke is considered A FOOL (APRIL FISH).

A fool is defined as someone who lacks right sense of judgment, someone who cannot distinguish right from wrong, a simpleton (ódé in Yoruba language).

That’s the Educational view of a fool, let’s look at the scriptural definition of a fool.

The word FOOL appears more than a hundred times in the King James Bible and rendered in different context (Fool, Foolish, Foolishly even NABAL as someone’s name) but David and his son Solomon, mentioned fool continuously through their books. They agree on agree on the definition of a fool.

According to Proverb 1:7,( Prov 1:7  The fear of the Lord is the beginning of knowledge, but fools despise wisdom and discipline. NIV) Solomon defined a fool as someone who does not fear God. I will state here at this point that the fear of God is not hypocrisy, the fear of God is not being sanctimonious, the fear of God is a self-restraint that follows you everywhere you go including in your secret place and it makes you reject bad & accepts good and whoever doesn’t have the Fear of God according to Solomon is a FOOL.

David on the other hand wrote two identical chapters in the bible just to define A FOOL. Psalm 14:1-7 & Psalm 53:1-6 says exactly the same thing and they begin by saying that

(1) Anybody who said that there is no God is A Fool,

(2) Anyone who is wicked, corrupt and despise God is a Fool.

Let me divert a little with the story of the world’s famous and strongest ship built by man with a guarantee that “NOT EVEN GOD CAN SINK THE SHIP” (Capt. Edward John Smith Made the statement) and it was boldly written on the ship “WE DEFY GOD TO SINK HER”. The ship set sail for the first time (April 13 1912) from Liverpool to New York and guess what? The ship never completed just its first journey! On 15^th of APRIL 1912 Titanic Sank! Did God sink the ship? My answer is NO! The ship was too small for God to waste his time sinking instead a small piece of ice  (A relatively small ice berg) didn’t just sink  THE GREAT TITANIC in just 160 Minutes but tore the ship into two and about 1523 of about 2200 people aboard lost their lives. This event took place on APRIL 1912 and the whole world will agree that Capt. Edward John Smith and the TITANIC DESIGNERS were BIG FOOLS.

It is April Fools’ Day and as I earlier said, this is a celebration of Fools; By Fools I mean

-        Those who lack the fear of God

-        Those who claim that there is NO GOD (Atheist)

-        Those who are wicked and despise God

-        Those who love lies and hate the truth.

THE WORLD APRIL Fools’ DAY

Since the creation of the world, we live in an illusion (An april first); truth and lies have been mixed so good that you really can tell the truth from lies anymore.

Expensive jokes have been said even by top religious leaders, pastors and churches; jokes like

-   There is no God; There is no Jesus

-   Jesus never died at all

-   He died but never resurrected

-   Jesus never died to save sinners

-   There is God and Jesus and he died to forgive us, so there is nothing like sin, forgiveness and repentance

-   God loves us to much to put us in hell, hell is only for the devil and his agents

-   Our dressing doesn’t matter to God, he looks at the heart

-   Don’t Bother, it doesn’t matter, he is a merciful God

Even a top and highly respected man of God said on cable tv “Masturbation is only an habit and it is not sin” and this high sounding lies have sounded so truthful due to the fact that they satisfy our craving for sin and they come directly from the pulpit but the bible says “Ye Shall know the truth and the truth will make you free Jn 8:32 NKJV”.
This lies have been on for quite some time now and the time now is a few minutes to 12 noon; By 12 Noon, April fool day will officially be over; we will see the truth and lies for yourself then there will not be time to change your mind.

Heb 10:26 says, “If we deliberately continue to sin after we have received knowledge of the truth, there is no longer any remedy for our sins”. Mixing the truth perfectly with lies is considered as rear wisdom but ultimate wisdom comes from having the fear of God.

At the End of the WORLD’S APRIL FOOLS DAY, Every truth you and I have ignored for lies will be reminded us and the devil will laugh and shout a big APRIL FOOL to those who believed his lies. To those that have been corrected and they deliberately continue sinning and those in the “Household of faith” Prov 29:1 would answer for them.

I will also gladly say here that ALL Liars will also have their space in the lake of fire too.

It is never too late to see the truth and embrace it and experience true freedom both on earth and on the “12:00” Mark [last day]

Jesus death is always there as a reminder that we can still have a chance of living in truth.
