OPEN HEAVEN SERIES
Welcome to another open series, last time was
Keep planting but this time it’s GRAB THAT GARMENT.
The text above speaks of a woman who had a
blood issue for 12 years and then she was healed by just touching.
We need to examine this story critically;
different accounts of the gospel tells different stories including her spending
all her fortune to doctors, soothsayers, fake prophets and other sources of
solution and for twelve years she has been moving from one hospital to another,
different advice from different friends must have been giving to her, different
diagnosis have seen and different therapies have been administered to this
woman at the expense of the woman’s financial strength and off course the woman
never gave up hope or stopped trying every solution she was told until one good
day.
She stopped, took a good look at herself and
she knew she was not getting any younger, she wasn’t getting any richer either,
and she wasn’t getting any healthier and she knew something must be done and
done desperately too.
She heard wonderful stories about a man who
healed people by speaking to them, or laying hands on them. She knew she was
out of cash to pay for this form of treatment but she by now has imagined the
greatness of the power of this man and she set a plan in motion; A plan that
would afford her the opportunity to be treated first before she could pay.
The bible recorded that the set day was not a
rosy and comfortable day for the woman and she had to push her way through the
entire crowd to get to the center of attraction (JESUS CHRIST). The truth is –
Even a hefty man would find this a difficult task, but imagine a woman with a
constant blood flow for TWELVE whole years still finding strength to push through
and she finally got exactly what she wanted (THE HEM OF HIS GARMENT). She never
wanted a touch from Jesus or a word from him all she aimed for is the Hem and
she went straight for it and she got it. As unbelievable as It sounded, the
hem, didn’t heal her, but HER FAITH.
Today we are faced with numerous challenges and
we have considered so many alternatives but I beg to ask, have you considered
the HEM OF HIS GARMENT? Do you know that so many expected Jesus that day but
were not healed but the woman who grabbed the Hem got the healing she wanted
free of charge!!
Resolve in your heart today to Reach for the
hem of his garment and Jesus will be so compassionate that he will definitely
talk healing to you.
Nobody knew the HEM OF JESUS clothing carried
power until someone touched it and nobody else touched it after the woman did
meaning even after the woman touched the garment, some still don’t believe that
the HEM could heal their problem and some died in their trouble. The whole
garment is now available for you to touch and just like in the time of Moses,
Only those who touch will be healed.
